Amazon Debuts Epic Thursday Night Football Music

Music. A great piece of music pulls your soul right into something. It calls up memories, gets your heart racing and can make you experience feelings long forgotten. It’s something in our wiring. Amazon knows this well and that’s why when it was time to put together a theme for its Thursday Night Football package it looked for a composer that could put together something that defined the event in the epic way that sports broadcasts do. True sports fans can identify the start of a game with their eyes closes by the music. John William’s NBC football theme, the gladiatorial Fox NFL Sunday Music, and even the 1990’s era Hank Williams Jr. Monday Night Boogie evokes emotions and excitement that captures the spirit of the contest.  Now Amazon has its own Thunderous entry on that stage. A new original piece by composer Pinar Toprak (Captain Marvel, Fortnite) has been commissioned to create an all-new original score and theme music for the streamer’s exclusive coverage of Thursday Night Football. Toprak brings her fresh perspective and unique vision to a diversity of others musical projects. Aside from Thursday Night Football, she has composed and produced the soundtrack for Disney theme parks, including the new Epcot theme, wrote and produced music for Christina Aguilera’s 2019 Xperience live show in Las Vegas, and conducted Billie Eilish’s performance of “No Time To Die” at the 2022 Oscars ceremony.

Woven deep within the fabric of American sports culture are the iconic NFL anthems that accompany the broadcasts watched by millions of fans every week. Today, Prime Video announced that accomplished composer Pinar Toprak (Captain Marvel, Fortnite) has been commissioned to create an all-new original score and theme music for the streamer’s exclusive coverage of Thursday Night Football. 

“It has been a tremendous honor and pleasure to be a part of Thursday Night Football, working alongside the inspiring teams at Prime Video,” said Toprak. “Our goal was to create a memorable theme that is both current and timeless. We leaned on the big brass and muscular energy of legacy scores, in combination with unique, lyrical moments, to achieve a feeling of heart and soul. I could not be more excited to share this new anthem with the world, and hope it will connect with fans and players alike as we make TNF history.”
