Evoca Adding More Regional Sports Coverage In Co

Evoca, a new revolutionary television service, and the University of Northern Colorado Athletics have partnered to expand the reach of Bear athletics by broadcasting games to fans throughout the greater Denver and Colorado Springs areas.

Fans of the Blue & Gold will be able to tune into channel 112 on Evoca to watch Bears events throughout the year. Select Bears games will air including football, wrestling, baseball, women’s and men’s basketball, volleyball, and swim and diving meets.

The first UNC game to air will be women’s volleyball when the Bears face off against the “other” UNC team, North Carolina, on August 27 at 6 p.m. Then, it’s off to the gridiron for the football game against Houston Baptist at 2:00 p.m. on September 3. These games will be followed by a variety of sporting events throughout the year, including basketball, wrestling, baseball, and swimming and diving.

“We are excited to partner with Evoca to provide UNC Athletics to our alumni and fans in the greater Denver and Colorado Springs areas another way to watch the Bears,” Director of Athletics Darren Dunn said. “This partnership allows us to feature the efforts of our student-athletes to a large percentage of our Colorado alumni base in ways we have not been able previously.”

“Adding UNC athletics to our channel lineup supports our mission to offer local sports, news and weather in the communities we serve,” said Todd Achilles, CEO and co-founder of Evoca.  “We’re sports fans too, and we know the importance of being able to access your schools’ games easily and affordably which is why we continue to expand our college sports broadcasts.”

Evoca combines broadcast and streaming TV to provide subscribers unmatched audio and video clarity and a variety of quality, must-watch TV programming. For $25/month and no contract, the service includes a growing lineup of high-quality, high-definition programming via a proprietary receiver to access live local sports, news, weather channels, as well as some of the most popular video-on-demand programming. Throughout the month of August, Evoca is offering $10 off/month for the first three months for any news subscriber.
