The Super Mario Brothers Movie is a big hit on-demand following adding to its still ongoing theatrical run. The animated film took the top spot on Vudu followed by John Wick: Chapter 4. Does this mean that we are going to be stuck with a trove of poorly conceived animated video game movies for a while? Let’s hope not. But multi-generational audiences appreciated the recent entry for its beautiful animation style, nostalgia and banter.
