Roku and Others Say Economic Downturn Is Hurting Profits

Roku announced some not so great news about its economic performance over the last quarter.  The company was expected to make over 901 million in advertising but instead managed over 700 million in ad revenue citing future macro economic concerns and an overal concern in a market downturn as sapping the market for advertising. Roku is hardly alone in that camp as Meta is saying the same thing.

Supply chain issues have severely hampered tech firms in 2021 and 2022.

The announcement sent Roku stock down over 20%.
