Apple TV+ Will Be Exclusive Home Of MLS

The Apple TV+ app will be the one and only home of Major League Soccer streaming with a new deal believed to be for 2.5 Billion dollars. The agreement will make Apple’s streaming app the only place where interested customers can sign up for a forthcoming MLS streaming service, meaning that it will not have apps for other platforms. Streamers with say a Roku or Fire TV will be able to sign up for the service, they will just have to access it via Apple’s app, which will increase the importance of the app on all streaming platforms.

The MLS streaming service will be a separate subscription from the normal Apple TV+ subscription service. But subscribers to Apple TV+ will be able to access a selection of soccer matches with along with the rest of Apple’s exclusive programming like Ted Lasso and For All Mankind.

The MLS deal adds more sports to Apple’s growing lineup which also includes a new Friday Night Baseball double header each week during the Major League regular season.

Platforms that carry the Apple TV+ app include Roku, Fire TV, Android TV, Google TV, Samsung, LG, Vizio, Sony, Xbox and the Sony PlayStation.
