Would You Pay For An Apple Bundle?

Bloomberg is reporting that Apple is looking to offer its new Apple TV + service along with all of its other services for one price. There is no information as to what price it would sell at, but in the face of so much competition in the streaming market that could be a good move for the company. The move is seen as a way to entice more customers to try out more of Apple’s services especially the Apple News service which sells for $10.00 on its own with access to tons of sources. According to Bloombergs sources the service has not taken off the way that Apple’s partners would have hoped.

The expectation is that Apple would sell Apple News as part of a bundle of services featuring Apple News+ as part of a bundle with Apple TV+ and Apple Music. This would make a great deal of sense. Apple TV + while offering an interesting chunk of programming does not stand on its own as a service in the way that Hulu, Netflix, Disney+ and others do. We at the Streaming Advisor noted months ago that it looked more like an add-on service to Apple Music than it did a free standing service. Its outright brazen to wade into the streaming world with 10 shows or less to offer in the face of competition with thousands of titles. Even if Oprah or you know Aqua Man is involved.

What will the price be for the combined service? No one is saying. The only thing that un-named sources shared is that the news and music partners would get less money per subscriber than they currently do, which could be a problem if the bundle does not lead to a major uptick in subscribers. On the other hand if it is embraced by the millions of Apple Product users more so than the services have been separately the increased volume would likely make up for it.

What do you think the price should be?
