Want to watch the Macy’s Parade this year? I believe my family has watched it every year of my life. It just doesn’t feel like thanksgiving till I see that big turkey float with the funny random blinking eyes. If you are like me you are going to be looking for ways to watch the event. There are a number of ways to do so this year and we have put together this guide to help you find the right way for you.
Streaming The Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade For Free
There are a number of streaming options for the parade. But the most important one for those without cable is the official feed from Verizon which will stream for free with the option to view the parade from different angles. The idea is that viewers will be able to see the parade more like those watching from New York. Minus the weather and people standing in front of you of course.

Free Over The Air
Why do we include OTA. Because over time people have taken for granted that Network TV is free. If you can receive OTA signals check it out. As has been tradition for years the parade will be broadcast on both CBS and NBC. The NBC feed will begin at 9:00 where viewers watch from the start of the parade route and see performances from the hottest shows on Broadway, or at least the ones with the most cooperate synergy. CBS too will broadcast the parade starting at 9:00 am. CBS’s coverage usually gets straight to the floats and eschews the performances. So you have your choice of viewing experiences.
Network Sites and Apps
CBS All Access provides many viewers with access to their local CBS stations. And it will be streaming the parade live as it would any other program on CBS. CBS All Access is of course a paid service. If you are not a CBS All Access customer and are in a pinch to see the parade or do not want to navigate YouTube you are welcome to try the service out with a free trial.
NBC has an app that requires users sign in using a pay TV user name and password. Users can also access the parade via the live section of the NBC website.
Streaming Services That include CBS and NBC
If you are a cord cutter and have not bought into the numerous cable replacement services on the market you might not know that there are a number of cable like options available that provide network TV. Hulu with Live TV, AT&T TV Now, YouTube TV and Fubo TV may well give you access to the network in time for both the Parade and Thanksgiving day Football. In order to see whether these services do provide access to the needed channels you must check their websites using your address or zip code.
