Discovery Adding New Content To fuboTV – The Streaming Advisor

Discovery Adding New Content To fuboTV

Discovery Inc and fuboTV have an agreement in place that will bring the full lineup of Discovery owned TV channels to the streaming TV provider’s customers. Discovery is an investment partner with fuboTV based on an agreement between Scripps and fuboTV two years ago prior to Scripps being absorbed by Discovery. The agreement will both bolster the offerings channel lineup and on-demand options.

FuboTV’s base package, fubo Standard, which already includes HGTV, Food Network and Travel Channel will add Discovery Channel, TLC, Investigation Discovery, Animal Planet, OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network and MotorTrend.

fubo Extra subs will get access to Science Channel, Destination America, Discovery Family, American Heroes Channel, and Discovery Life joining DIY Network and Cooking Channel. Additionally, Discovery en Español and Discovery Familia will be available on fuboTV’s Spanish-language package, fubo Latino ($24.99/month for 20 channels), and the Latino Plus add-on package ($7.99/month for 15 channels).

“Today’s content agreement broadens the strategic relationship between Discovery and fuboTV that began almost two years ago with the former Scripps Networks,” said Joel Armijo, CFO, fuboTV. “We are excited to be adding more Discovery brands alongside their lifestyle networks, which we already carry. These brands, including HGTV and Food Network, are among our top performing entertainment networks, and this agreement allows us to extend our partnership for years to come. We expect to be similarly successful with our new Discovery networks.”
