Do I Need Amazon Prime To Get NBA League Pass?

Amazon has a new exclusive contract with the NBA that makes it the exclusive service partner for NBA League Pass. In previous years, premium subscription streaming services like Fubo TV and YouTube TV have also integrated the out-of-market TV service into their respective interfaces and billing structure. This gave users of YouTube TV, especially, a convenient way to keep sports viewing in one place.

This season (2024-2025), users will have two ways to access NBA League Pass. Those choices are using the NBA’s official app or via Amazon Prime. Hyperactive and clickbait headline-style reporting may lead fans to believe that they must have an Amazon Prime subscription to get the TV package. But this is not the case.

So, unfortunately, users of the two previously mentioned services, the NBA is a little more difficult to find than it has been. But no, NBA fans do not need Amazon Prime to watch NBA League Pass this year.
