Don’t Expect A WWE VS AEW Event

Reddit forums may be begging for a collaboration between the WWE and AEW, but according to a couple of former and current stars the chances of such a crossover are slim and none. The top two pro-wresting promotions in the US battle weekly for ratings supremacy and talent. In the past two years WWE picked up current champ Cody Rhodes and fire-hot CM Punk from AEW after they became available as well as up-and-coming women’s talent Jade Gargill. AEW on the other hand signed Adam Copeland (Edge in WWE) as soon as he was available.

Fans who dream book matchups like the WWE’s LA Knight VS Michael Jakob Freedman (MJF) a chance to find why the stars think this is a bad idea. During a panel discussion at Galaxycon Raleigh this weekend featuring former WWE and TNA champ Kurt Angle and current AEW American Champion MJF the two stars said that they felt that competition was better for the organizations and that providing different brands was best for fans.
