Are you getting a weird purple screen on your Roku Ultra or Premier? Is it telling you to go to go.roku/hdcp? If this is happening it may just be a simple glitch that is easy to fix. We experienced this issue this afternoon and it was affecting every Roku channel we took a look at. The explanaion for what that all means is more technical than most people probably want to deal with, but it you want to see what it is all about you can learn here
But for those of us who want to tune into our streaming fun, this is a puzzling problem that can be very frustrating if you do not know how to fix it. And that’s what is really important.
How to fix it
First of all check to make sure your Roku is set to the correct resolution for your TV. Some of you may have switched your TV to 4k just to see what would happen. If you have your Roku at the wrong resolution change it to 1080 or 720. Which ever one will work best with your TV.
Next reset your Roku. Either unplug it and plug it back in or go to settings/System/system restart.
Once it reboots the problem should be fixed.
