Now and then there is a need to reset a Roku. Maybe it is running slowly, maybe you are trying to force a channel update. Lots of people do this by simply unplugging the power cord from the device and plugging it back in. This works for sure. But it can be a pain to get to the back of the TV depending on how your TV is set up. So being able to reset the Roku without doing so can be very helpful.
Unfortunately if your Roku is outright locked up this method will not work and force you to physically pull the cord. But otherwise this simple built in method will make life easier. See the video.
