It seems like every new major movie, no matter how maligned it is during its theatrical run get a chance to shine via on-demand platforms. Thor Love And Thunder has been no exception, leading the way this week on Vudu.
Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love and Thunder, newly available to purchase on Vudu, and Top Gun: Maverick topped the streaming movies chart on Fandango’s premium on-demand video service for the week of September 6 through September 11.
The week’s top two best-selling bundles on Vudu were the Top Gun 2-Movie Collection, comprising of the original Top Gun (1986) and Top Gun: Maverick, and the Thor 4-Movie Collection, which includes the three previous Thor movies and Thor: Love and Thunder.
Among the week’s other new releases, the Idris Elba thriller Beast and the romantic drama Where The Crawdads Sing appeared in the #3 and #4 spots on the Vudu chart, respectively.
