Peacock Will Be Home Of All Bravo Shows – The Streaming Advisor

Peacock Will Be Home Of All Bravo Shows

Peacock

Variety is reporting that Peacock will be the streaming home of Bravo series the day after they air on the cable channel. Not only that, but the streamer will also be the home of past seasons of Bravo shows as well. Many Bravo series can currently be found on Hulu, but Comcast will be putting the content on its own service this fall along with NBC shows and its growing list of original content. On the original series front, Peacock is seeing great success with the heavily mocked Bel-Air. The series which put a more serious take on the 90s hit The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air saw viewership from 8 million accounts and set a record for the new company as far as subscriber growth, usage, and upgrades. Other upcoming originals include:

  • Shooting Stars”: The first film under NBCU’s production deal with LeBron James and Maverick Carter’s SpringHill Co. follows James’ origin story as a high-school basketball player and is currently being filmed in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. Rachel Winter and Terence Winter are producing along with SpringHill.
  • “Praise This”: From producer Will Packer (“Girls Trip”), the movie stars Chloe Bailey as the newest member of a community’s church choir who pushes her members in a hipper musical direction and whose involvement with an irreverent hip-hop star may kick off — or jeopardize — her own musical career.
  • “The Killer”: John Woo returns to reimagine and direct a remake of his 1989 action thriller, about an assassin who accidentally damages the eyes of the singer during a shootout and decides to perform one last hit to pay for her operation.

Peacock appears to be coming into form as Comcast’s landing place for all of its TV and studio content as Disney transitions Hulu to be a landing place for Disney and Fox content that does not fit nicely into the Disney+ branding. The streamer will also be getting in on a distribution deal with Lions Gate for the rights to stream new films after they are first available via Starz. The deal which is not an exclusive will bring the studios titles to Peacock in 2024 including John Wick 4 and The Umberible weight of Massive Tallent.
