Roku’s Black Friday deals are now available for customers at multiple retailers including Roku itself. The deals include steep discounts on premium products like the Roku Ultra and Roku Streambar. $99.00 for the new Roku Streambar and $29.00 for a Streaming Stick+ are really great deals. That means for the normal cost of the Roku Ultra you can add a tremendous sound boost. Having used the original Roku Sound Bar I can tell you it really does make a difference in the viewing experience.
If you have no need to upgrade your audio capabilities but need a speed and performance upgrade a Roku Ultra for $69.00 is a big upgrade for a small amount of money.
Special note though about the Roku SE. This is an item that shows up periodically typically at the end of a product cycle for Black Friday. The Roku SE is not a regular Roku model. The SE stands for (special edition), which means that it is only going to be available for a short time. It stands to be an upgrade on the inexpensive previous generation products but would not be an upgrade over a Roku Ultra. The cool thing about this year’s model is that it is white. This is the first Roku model sold in the US that is white after models over time have been black, purple, and even red in the past.
So if you have been thinking about picking up something new this is definitely a time to do so.
It is also of note that Roku is selling subscriptions to premium streaming services at incredibly discounted rates. That might be a nice way to spend what is sure to be a more locked down winter at home.
