Sling TV announced that it is raising prices by five dollars as of December 3, 2022. In a blog post Gary Schanman, Group President, Sling TV pointed out that Sling TV doesn’t own the networks its customers watch and that it in fact pays programmers for their channels, and the price of programming continues to rise.
Providers have regularly worked to shift frustrations from customers away from the easy target, the company sending the bill to the actual people raising the costs, the network owner, but unfortunately for companies like Sling TV many consumers don’t really see it that way.
The move by Sling TV follows many other services that have raised their prices from fellow cable replacement services to premium VOD services like Disney+.
