The ever-present threat of Piracy has reared in hed on the release of SPiderman No Way Home. Torrent Freak is reporting that the film has started cropping up on illicit apps ahead of its official distribution time and definitely not via legitimate means of distribution such as VUDU.
Studios have been fighting a long battle with content pirates and have won some major victories against individuals who have profited from sharing content, especially those who flaunt their ill-gotten gains on social media. The headshaking decisions by some to post cars and houses they bought helps the studios zero in on some of the problems while a major lawsuit against a group that called themselves TV Addons also wrapped up recently.
We will see if Spider Man No Way Home remains available for the time being.
