Music streaming service Spotify (SPOT.N) is cutting 6% of its workforce or 600 jobs following other tech firms in cutting staff ahead of recession concerns. Though there is still disagreement in the financial world about whether we should expect a true economic slowdown it appears more and more like there is a self-fulfilling prophecy at work as thousands of jobs have been shed across the tech sector.
One of the most notable departures from the announcement is that Spotify Head of Content and Advertising Dawn Ostroff, is leaving after an over four-year stint at the company. Ostroff was key in building the popular Podcast network at the streamer.
