Tablo Releases New Connected TV DVR

Cord cutter DVR company Tablo has released a new connected TV DVR with four tuners for more recording and viewing options. The new product the Tablo QUAD HDMI OTA DVR will allow users to record up to four shows at one time and or watch up to for live channels at the same time. In truth, it’s not all one or the other. With the new device, users will have four slots to work with whether they are recording watching TV.

The device is a follow-up from 2020’s Tablo DUAL HDMI. The new product is designed to be connected directly to a television via one of the TV’s HDMI ports and comes with a remote controller to allow users to directly control the DVR as opposed to other Tablo models which rely on apps for media players. With the Tablo QUAD HDMI OTA users hook the box up and interact with the popular Tablo Interface no other apps needed.

The QUAD HDMI OTA will also act as a hub for your Tablo meaning that if you do have connected TV devices like Roku, Amazon Fire TV or Android TV-powered boxes, sticks or TV’s you will still be able to access your live TV and recordings. The strength of the all-in-one device though is that the user is less reliant on using wireless internet connections to watch live TV when accessing the main device.
