The Chappelle Show will return to Netflix after a deal was reached to pay the comedian for his work on the Comedy Central show that vaulted him from a known commodity to a household name. The Chappelle show launched catchphrases and brought attention to a number of social issues through comedy.
But due to the wording of his contract, Dave Chappelle did not have the rights to profit from the show that was built totally around his personality and characters. The show ran on Netflix from November 1-November 27 before pulling it due to a request by Chappelle who said that Viacom licensed the show without his permission.
An agreement was reached between Chappelle and Comedy Central which was announced by Chappelle via his Instagram.
