Amazon Prime Video series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has cast Kelly Bishop in a guest starring role for the fourth season of the uncompromising hit show. Bishop is best known for playing the iconic role of matriarch Emily Gilmore in Gilmore Girls. She also played Jennifer Grey’s mother in Dirty Dancing. Additionally, Bishop is acclaimed for creating the role of Sheila in A Chorus Line. This performance earned her a Tony Award. She reunited with Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino on Bunheads as Fanny Flowers. Most recently, she reprised her role as Emily in Netflix’s Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life.
