Nvidia has only released two new models of the Nvidia Shield since its debut 10 years ago. And they came out at the same time. Despite this the Android TV device has held strong while others have been rethought a number of times. This is due to what was in the beginning, its overpowered hardware that essentially future proofed it at least as a streaming device. But that doesn’t mean the device has stayed the same all this time. The company has supported the device via numerous software updates and this week was the latest one.
The Nvidia 9.2.1 update is available for download on all devices and includes a number of tweak that correct problems that had trouble users since the 9.2 update. In other words this update is less about new features and more about perfecting existing ones. Check out this announcement from the company here.
