Tubi’s New WWE Show What Is Evolve?

The WWE is hot right now. Its newest show “Evolve” is set to debut on Tubi this Wednesday at 8pm in what is expected to be a new beginning for WWE’s developmental program. The name Evolve is actually a reference to a former independent promotion of the same name which was purchased by WWE in 2020. But while the show will have the same name, the mission will be a lot different.

Former WWE performer and current executive, Shawn Michaels explained the concept behind Evolve in a recent interview with Front Office Sports where he explained that the idea is not to present something that looks and feels like its Raw presentation on Netflix, but instead grow the talent base of the future.

“This is something that as we continue to look at the future health of WWE talent, it’s incumbent on us to find the best and the brightest out there, train them at the Performance Center in Orlando, and take WWE into the future,” said Michaels.

WWE has been growing its audience in major ways over the past few years setting records for views on all of its social media platforms, TV shows and viewership for premium Live Events. In general, pro wrestling has become a dependable prime-time programming solution for TV networks looking to draw dedicated viewers with live TV. Two other promotions AEW and TNA also feature shows on cable weekly. Like professional and college sports, fans prefer to take in the action as it happens and flood social media with reaction as it happens.

Where can I watch Evolve?

Evolve will be the WWE’s second streaming exclusive but instead of planting it on a paid service US fans will be able to find it on Tubi. International fans on the other hand will be able to check it out on YouTube.

Tubi, which recently won rave reviews for its streaming of the Superbowl, will jump on the wrestling scene with a chance to grow a dedicated and enthusiastic audience. And the streamer won’t have to convince people to watch because with WWE programming the streamer will simply be able to tap in to an already established brand that has a stellar social media presense and a TV viewing audience of close to 3 million people. You better believe the audience will be hearing about Evolve during all of WWE’s established shows.

How do you get Tubi?

Tubi is available via all major streaming platforms.

Who Will Be Featured On Evolve?

There will be a lot to take in. Fans tuning in can expect to see some familiar faces from NXT who have not had as much time on TV of late. Teasers for the show have featured talent like recent main roster performer Tyler Bate, who had been getting a main roster push before an injury took him out of action. It is also going to be a place to work with the pro and college atheletes that WWE has been signing to NIL contracts. This will give the world class atheletes a chance to see if they can translate their speed and agility into usable skills on screen. The other major branch of performers will be wrestlers who work with numerous small independent companies that dot the country. The independent performers even have their own title belt.

Will this all work? I don’t know. What I do know is everything has been coming up aces for WWE by every metric. So Tubi may be getting on ride just before it launches like a rocket.
