AT&T Killing Another TV Asset – The Streaming Advisor

AT&T Killing Another TV Asset

It may be news to you but AT&T actually still has a TV service, but not for much longer. Since 2018 AT&T has offered a service called WatchTV. The service seemed like an attempt to compete against inexpensive streaming bundles that avoided news and sports but offered a healthy and full of general entertainment channels excluding local networks.

It should be noted that when AT&T spun off the majority of its TV services such as DIRECTV and U-verse did not include WatchTV. It kept the service in hand so that it can apparently soak it on the vine it’s self. Anybody who is subscribed to the service has been informed that it will cease to exist as of November 30. AT&T encourages users to instead transition to an HBO max subscription. Both services cost $14.99.
