The Democratic National convention kicks off this week and for the first time you have essentially the same access to the event as the biggest donors and party bosses in the country. Because it’s all online. There are not going to be big crowds of people wearing silly hats or any of the things usually seen at the event. What will be happening will be what many pundits have called a Zoom meeting. Yes there will be speeches and networks are touting their coverage like they usually do with Final Four level hype. But it’s always the same. Coverage will begin at night and feature the top speakers of the night with commentary in between the speeches to tell you what you thought of them and if there is enough “red meat” so far.
