Roku has pushed the new Sling TV interface onto more systems this week. Roku soundbar systems and other models left out of the previous update including the Roku Streaming Stick+ have seen the new interface update. And good news to those who got the update first. Sling TV has begun to correct the most complained about feature or lack thereof on the new Interface. Sling TV now has a mini-guide that can be displayed when a user is watching a given channel again.
The new guide is not fully expansive and representative of all of Sling TV’s offerings but does allow for users to scan through their entire channel lineup without leaving the programming they are currently watching. What users can not do is look for channels according to genre. This means you can’t pull up all of the sports channels or news channels etc.
These kinds of apps are always a work in progress and will most likely grow to include more choices while attempting to simplify and streamline the experiance.
