Yes, there is excitement around the upcoming Wonderwoman 1984 debut on HBO Max, but the moment that DC fans have been waiting for since HBO Max launched and the DC Universe announced its shutdown has arrived. Batman The Animated Series, the groundbreaking show that launched Mark Hammil’s second life as the voice of the Joker and made Kevin Conroy a generation’s Batman, will be coming to the streamer in January. Along with the show that started it all, Batman Beyond, the sequel series which features an older Bruce Wayne mentoring a new Batman.
The move is part of Warner’s plan to make HBO Max the destination for all of its properties. There are other high-profile DC animated movies coming to including a number of Justice League animated movies along with TNT series Snow Piercer. There are a number of other series and movies making the move to Max in 2021.
HBO Max will have a number of new potential customers for the new content thanks to its new deal with Roku.
