How To Watch The NBA Season Restart From Orlando – The Streaming Advisor

How To Watch The NBA Season Restart From Orlando

I think sports fans will feel just a little more normal when we see Lebron James thunder down the Lasne won’t we? As long as health allows the NBA will restart an amended season in earnest a few weeks from now down at Disney’s Wide World of Sports campus in Orlando. The marathon event  will have an almost March Madness feel to it as NBA teams will be PlayOn almost all day on one NBA TV partner or another. The fun starts Friday July 30th when the Utah Jazz take on the New Orleans Pelicans at 6:30 on TNT.

How can you watch these games if you do not have cable? You will need a streaming service that gives you access to the games. This guide will let you know which ones can accommodate your needs. First off we must note that the vast majority of the games will be on ESPN and TNT. NBA TV has one scheduled game so far. Availability of ABC varies on market and each service will allow you to check to see if it is available in your location. For the record, ABC is only listed for 3 games during the sprint to the finish. With that in mind this guide was built on the availability of ESPN and TNT with notes as to if the services support ABC or NBA TV.

Sling TV

$20.00 First month then $30.00 afterwards (NBA TV is available Via a $10.00 sports channel upgrade)

What you get: ESPN, TNT, NBA TV

What You don’t get: ABC streaming

For 20 dollars (During the first month of service) you can add the Sling Orange package. It includes TNT and ESPN as base channels. And you can add NBA TV for $10.00 via the sports channel add-on pack. After the first month of service is done the price will increase by $10.00 on the base Sling Orange package.

Drawback: Sling TV does not universally stream local network affiliates and some games are on ABC

Sling chooses not to get tied up in negotiations for broadcast signals to keep prices down and encourages users to access broadcast TV via an antenna.

Hulu With Live TV

$54.99 per month

What you get: ESPN, TNT, ABC

What You don’t get: NBA TV

Hulu with live TV costs $54.99 all together but includes the full on-demand service that Hulu offers for a 5.99 plus the ability to play on-demand content from any of its offered live channels in the same interface. So if for instance you already have Hulu for On-Demand content it’s an extra $50.00 per month for the live channels. If you pay for the ad-free version of Hulu and add the live TV function it costs $60.99

YouTube TV

$64.00 per month

What you get: ABC, ESPN, TNT, NBA TV

YouTube TV will give you access to the four channels that will have all of the NBA games, though availability of ABC will depend on your zip code. YouTube TV has a Zip code tool to determine if you will get the network. But this is one way to be pretty sure you will be able to see every game being played without any extra equipment or added fees.
