Instacart Joins Other Delivery Services To Offer Free Streaming

Instacart+ users can now recieve Peacock Premium as part of their subscription making Instacart the third delivery service to offer a streaming service as part of the package. Amazon pioneered the idea when it built its own service and paired it with Amazon Prime which existed long before the Prime Video service as a way to get free delivery and other perks for e-books and other services. Recenty Walmart+ added acces to Paramount+ as an enticement/perk for members of its own food delivery service.

Instacart+ costs users $99.99 for a full year paid at a time and 9.99 per month for those unready to commit long term. That means that for those who would otherwhise subscribe to Peacock Premium which costs $5.99 per month they can do so and get free grocery delivery on any order $35.00 or more.

Traditionally bundles put together similar services like for instance the Disney Bundle the combo of Disney+, ESPN+ Hulu. Other services like Netflix have been tied with cell phone providers. But the trend towards tying pocketbook catagories together may become more common as streaming services seek to differntiate themselves in a market where consumers have begun to tap out on pay services.
