Netflix has changed a great deal since it first began to offer streaming to its customers. But in a sort of throwback the company is adding a new feature that harkens back to the early years. Netflix is now offering a top 10 list of programs based on the country in which it is being streamed. There is an overall top 10 and separate top 10 lists for both TV shows and movies.
The offering is very similar to a formally prominent feature that shared content that was popular locally. We do not know if the service simply tracks how many times something has been watched or bases it on another ratings formula.
Either way, it is a new expansion of Netflix’s famous reputation for suggestion.
