Roku will be launching a new Roku Ultra and a compact sound bar called the Streambar as part of its lineup of Roku products that plans to span every price point a customer could want. Roku’s choices range from $29.00 streamers to integrated video and sound systems that change the viewing experience exponentially.
The company redesigned the Roku Ultra from the ground up to include a number of heavily requested features including Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support. The Roku Ultra line also still includes the private listening jack, personalized programmable shortcut buttons all backed up with a quad-core processor.
The Streambar is much like the Roku Sound bar already on the market except that it is far more compact and comes with a smaller price tag. It features Dolby Audio, a built in Roku player, The ability to amplify sound from the rest of the devices plugged into the TV and the added bonus of being very easy to pair with Roku’s wireless speakers and Subwoofer. In a couple of minutes a user can have a theatrical experience in their own home with booming base along with enhanced speech clarity. Roku said it wants to help users get great sound in any room and that by making the Streambar more compact (14 inches) or about the length of an egg carton, one could sit one in any room of the house without loosing much space.
