Pluto TV is continuing its march in to corporate synergy with its overall ownership. The free streaming service quickly added multiple offerings from Viacom after the outfit was purchased by the cable channel provider. And since CBS has merged with Viacom to form Viacom CBS we have been watching to see what sorts of effects it would have on Pluto TV programming.
Our first glimpse was the temporary access to CBS All-Access series Picard. This week a long awaited entry has joined the bracket as CBS Sports HG, the free 24-7 sports news service has made its way to the multiple option Pluto TV grid. We had long expected to see such an addition considering the service has long been a home for CBSN the free 24-hour news streaming service.
CBS Sports HQ has tons of sports news along with what one would expect on ESPN or FS1. It features themed programming, sports highlight shows and of course a constant headline crawl at the bottom of the screen. It joins fubo Sports Network, Stadium as live sports information options in what will likely not be the last big addition for Pluto.
