Sling TV Announces $5.00 Increase

Sling TV, which is going on over 3 years on the market has announced it will raise the prices of its Sling Orange option by $5.00. The package, which has grown from around 16 channels to over 30 since its inception provides users with access to ESPN, ESPN2, The History Channel, AMC and many more cable channels. It is considered the intro into Sling TV’s myriad of offers which range from bulked up sports or news packages to deals for multiple packages as a time.

In a blog post Sling TV’s president, Warren Schlichting explained frankly that the rate change is to address the constant rate of increasing programming rights. This is the first time Sling TV has raised the rates on its basic service since the company launched.
