The Widow, an Amazon original series will launch March First on Amazon Prime Video. The series was produced in conjunction with the UK’s leading commercial broadcaster, ITV, which will air the drama in the United Kingdom and Ireland. It will be exclusive to Amazon in the US.
The plot centers around Kate Beckinsale has lived as a recluse in the Welsh countryside, away from civilization and the comforts of 21st-century living since the supposed death of the the love of her life. Until that is she spots him on a news report. The revelation of the report sends her to the Congo where she sets out across the country in pursuit of the man she thought she had lost forever.
The series will be available for free to Amazon Prime subscribers.
