Roku announced that it will be bringing back the original series, A Most Dangerous Game. Based off the short story of the same name, the series features a story built around the idea of people being hunted by other people with the ultimate prize being life and riches.
The first season launched with Quibi before the short form subscription series closed up shop. Roku swept in and bought Quibi’s IP and christened all of it as Roku originals and has found great success by marketing the content for free with commercial support on the Roku Channel. The series will still be presented in short form chunks as it was during the first season.

Nick Santora’s script for season two takes the thrill to the next level in New York and with David Castañeda joining Christoph Waltz, it was an easy decision to bring Most Dangerous Game back for another season.”
Now if you watched the first series don’t worry. Liam Helmsworth’s, Christoph Waltz has not been tricked into being hunted again. The series will feature a new protagonist but bring back Two-Time Academy Award Winner Christoph Waltz to reprise his starring role as the manipulative Miles Sellers, the CEO of The Tiro Fund (the organization behind the hunts.)
David Castañeda joins cast as new lead Victor Suero, a down-on-his-luck fighter, who will do anything to protect his sister and when he learns she’s in trouble, he springs into action. To protect her, he agrees to participate in the deadly game (in New York City).
“When I read the script I couldn’t sleep for a few days. Thinking of a man given the opportunity of making money to provide for his sister — it reminded me of my family, their struggle and ingenuity in necessity,” said Castañeda. “This story will connect with them and hopefully many more. Also, Christoph Waltz is the man. I can’t wait to jump on this opportunity with Roku and bring the streamers along for a thrilling ride.”
The first season of Most Dangerous Game is available now on The Roku Channel. In addition to Roku devices, The Roku Channel is available on Web, iOS and Android devices, Amazon Fire TV and select Samsung TVs and can be accessed internationally in the U.S., Canada and the U.K.
