ACE added another scalp to the wall recently taking down a piracy ring (We Play) based out of Thailand. ACE which is an acronym for Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment is a group that brings together all of the major western media companies to concentrate on stopping the distribution of its copyrighted material around the world. Their investigations have led to a number of arrests and property confiscations over the last couple of years.
Can ACE alone end all piracy? No certainly not, but it can nail individuals who swim in those waters. Sure there will always be organizations behind the practice as there is big money in selling content that didn’t have to be paid for to produce. But so far has shut down a number of major violators including Openload, RapidVideo, Pelisplushd.net, Afdah.video.
