Fubo TV is working partnerships to get in front of more viewers. The streaming service has been available longer then a number of options but has not benefitted from the sort of notoriety that Hulu with Live TV and YouTube TV have in the past few years. The two companies have more money and reach than Fubo which feels like more of a start up. The company though has shown up in the news twice this week as it has been announcing major partnerships including the new partnership with Google Fiber, putting it on equal footing with YouTube TV on Google’s own platform and now a new partnership with Viasat will see Fubo become a live streaming option for a big captive audience. Fubo announced a second major partnership today that will allow Fubo to be available to customers in flight via both free access to the Fubo Sports Network and the option to sign in to existing accounts or sign up for a trial. This could open a totally new market for Fubo as very frequent travelers may add the service to try it out and choose to keep it due to the convenience of having multiple streaming channels available while traveling.
