NBC’s Peacock saw its viewership rise 39% in viewership over the previous month during the Summer Olympic games in Paris. It was enough to land the streamer a 2.1% share (from 1.5% in July).
The service offered live feeds of every sport at the event, a feed of gold medal competitions similar to the NFL Redzone channel, and a basic feed of the biggest events. The coverage included an extended opening ceremony that took place live versus NBC’s primetime broadcast, which was paired down and edited for time.
