IRVINE, CA (November 12, 2020)—XUMO, a pioneer in streaming television and media entertainment, today announced the launch of a localized XUMO FREE Movies channel alongside additional localized programming—rolling out now across Latin America in Brazil and Mexico over several new channels. These new FAST channels provide a wide range of multicultural, Spanish and Portuguese language content that complements the offerings XUMO already provides since launching its international service last year.

“As demand for premium streaming content skyrockets abroad, Latin America is especially significant,” stated Jiro Egawa, chief operating officer at XUMO. “Our new native language channels provide plenty of binge-worthy movies and content that will be well received by local audiences. Additionally, our partnership with Magnite helps us maximize advertising opportunities while maintaining a high-quality viewer experience across the board.”

XUMO’s new Latin American channels feature localized, popular TV and movie channels such as MOOVIMEX, Pongalo NovelaClub, PowerNation, and more, set to launch this year, including factual thematic channels Bon Viaje, Crimen TV, and Naturaleza from Indigenius. The offerings will also include dubbed TV series and movies from FilmRise. XUMO also has plans to launch local channels from LATAM territories.

“Latin American audiences are increasingly watching TV through digital connections, including CTV, and the caliber of content that XUMO provides will resonate well,” noted Rafael Pallarés, Head of LATAM at Magnite. “We’re excited to work with XUMO to accelerate opportunities across all screens and formats in this important and quickly growing market.”
