Apple TV App No Longer Supports Purchases On Chromecast – The Streaming Advisor

Apple TV App No Longer Supports Purchases On Chromecast

Owners of Google’s Chromecast with Google TV and other Android TV devices will find that they have one less video rental option available these days. Apple TV app for the platform has stopped allowing users to purchase content. The app which is Apple’s entry into other operating systems supports Apple’s Apple TV+ streaming service along with the ability to subscribe to third-party streaming services.

It is not rare for transactional video services that work on one platform not to work on others. For instance, Amazon does not sell content on Apple TV via its app, while it does do so on other formats. Whether the move was initiated on Apple’s side or Google’s the truth is that there are any number of transactional video services with identical pricing abounding on the format.
