ESPN And CW Partnering To Stream WWE NXT Content

ESPN and the CW, an over-the-air broadcast network and app announced a partnership that will simulcast the CW’s weekly WWE broadcast of the NXT developmental brand. The CW broadcasts NXT weekly at 8 pm each Tuesday. The new partnership will allow ESPN to stream the shows live via the ESPN Unlimited subscription service, utilizing the ESPN app to do so. The CW does not live-stream NXT.

The move will also bring NXT premium live events to ESPN, which already streams the rest of the promotion’s events, including Wrestlemania. ESPN will replace Peacock as the exclusive home for NXT PLE content.

AAA, a Mexico-based promotion owned by WWE, will continue to stream on YouTube via the WWE YouTube channel.

Aside from the WWE programming the agreement also allow ESPN to stream college football and basketball from the ACC, Pac-12 and Mountain West Conferences, NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, WWE NXT, PBA Bowling, PBR Bull Riding, and AVP Volleyball.

All of the content will still be available via the the over the air channel for free or via pay tv packages in the relevant markets.
