House Of Dragon Has Huge Debut

HBO Max

10 million people watched new HBO series House of Dragon on August 21 when it debuted this weekend. Not a bad start for a series that builds on an original show that finished with such negative feelings surrounding it. In fact, according to Fierce Video Warner Bros Discovery said that “House of the Dragon” garnered the largest premiere audience for any HBO original series to-date. The show is a prequel of sorts for GOT fans that concentrates on the Targarian family, the blonde-locked line of kings that eventually pull the 7 kingdoms under the weight of the iron throne. The question will be if the audience will hold strong as it marches towards what we know ends with Jon Snow stabbing his aunt and then having his fate decided off-screen.

“It was wonderful to see millions of ‘Game of Thrones’ fans return with us to Westeros last night. ‘House of the Dragon’ features an incredibly talented cast and crew who poured their heart and soul into the production, and we’re ecstatic with viewers’ positive response,” said Casey Bloys, chief content officer at HBO and HBO Max.

Fans can check out the new show on HBO and stream it on HBO Max.
