Shenzhen KTC Technology will be the latest manufacturer to sign on with Xperi to power new smart TVs. Xperi which markets the TiVo OS has been aiming to get into the TV OS world since launching its first streaming product, the TiVo Stream 4K3 years ago.
TiVo OS will also power TVs from Vestel, a Turkish company, which are expected to be sold in Europe. US customers hoping to get a look at the operating system will have to do so on the convention floor as the software is not integrated into any TVs sold in the US.
