Sling TV has sent out an email to subscribers that it will end support on Apple devices running on versions of apples mobile operating system before iOS 11. Sling TV did not provide a date for the service change. This is the first time Sling TV has outright ended support for modern devices since the service launched three years ago.
Users with iOS devices who are unable to upgrade will be out of luck on those devices. This is not an uncommon occurrence in the streaming service community where Hulu and YouTube have dropped support for apps on various smart TV platforms over the years.
