Several publications are reporting that HBO Now is currently available on the Fire TV, Android TV, and Android

devices. This is simply not the case. While it may be available soon now that the exclusive distribution deal with Apple is over as of July 16th, 2015 it is not. So keep that in mind if you are looking to add the service to devices besides IOS products.

How Do We Know This?
We checked both the Google Play Store and the Amazon Store online. The HBO Now App in in the Amazon app store but is only available for the newest Kindle Fire we own. A search for HBO Now in the Google Play Store did not return any results for the app. For all we know that could change as soon as this week or even today. But at the moment the sites reporting this news appear to be trying to get ahead of the story instead of actually reporting anything.
