Pluto TV Stepping Up The Fight Game

Pluto TV will delve into combat sports with a new three hour block of content from DAZN called DAZN Fight Zone. DAZN is a subscription sports streaming service built around boxing and MMA Fighting (for US audiences). The appeal is that for a monthly price of $19.99 per month or a yearly cost of $99.00 (Do the math) users will be able to see events that would otherwise cost much more on Pay-per view. It’s not unlike the WWE Network, except that instead of being built around scripted entertainment, there are more real consequences at stake.

“By partnering with Pluto TV, we’re able to put DAZN content in front of the paywall which allows us to grow our brand and drive people to our key upcoming events,” said Joseph Markowski, DAZN EVP, North America. “This fall, DAZN has the best schedule in boxing and we’ll be looking to send that message across as many channels as possible.”

The DAZN content will be part of Pluto TV’s FIGHT channel  which seems made for content from DAZN. It will provide content including archived classic fights, DAZN-produced original shows and programming specials like 40 DAYS: CANELO VS. KOVALEV which is executive produced by LeBron James, Maverick Carter and Carlos Vela.  In addition to “DAZN Fight Zone”, Pluto TV will program fight week events from the open workouts to press conferences to the weigh-ins.

As of now Pluto TV has not released any details as to when viewers will be able to see the content. We will update this story once we can confirm times.
