March Madness is not about the giants of the game. It’s about the plucky little teams that come out of nowhere to beat the giants. While in truth the top seeds in the tournament often win their matchups there is always a punchers chance that a strong team from a lesser known conference will take out a team from one of the power conferences like the ACC or Big Ten (which has way more than teams btw).
This year you can get a look at some of the potential Cinderella teams via the Roku Channel. The free offering from Roku has access to stadium cooked into its channel allowing users to check out some of the smaller conferences tournaments that will be in action starting next week. Games featuring both Davidson and George Mason are on the schedule. Fans may remember that it was at Davidson where Steph Curry burst on to the scene with a memorable run through to the elite 8, George Mason pushed all the way to the Final Four knocking of some major power players along the way. And of course last year we saw the first 1 seed go down in the first round via Virginia v UMBC.
Who will be the next story of the tourney? Stream on and see if you can say you knew it would happen early.
