TV Addons Founder Stepping Back

Adam Lackman, the founder of TV Addons is resigning from his administrative role with the developer group. The move comes amid its embroilment in two concurrent lawsuits. A statement from the organization said Lackman will remain active on its platform and will take a marketing role moving forward.

It is unknown whether the pressure of the legal cases is the reason behind this move. We have to wonder if TV Addons is attempting to shield itself from culpability by saying “the person who was in charge when the problems arose is not in charge anymore”. It would not be a surprise to see an appeal making that argument to come along any minute now.

TV Addons and Lackman have long argued that the group has not been encouraging the accessing of copyrighted materials via their add-ons and Kodi based setup wizards. So far the defense has fallen on deaf ears in Canadian and US-based courts. TV Addons regularly sends out updates on what it views as unfair treatment and asking its community for money to pay its legal bills.

Our guess is that time and money are running out on this case.
